The 1918 Jenny Inverts are among the most desirable of all stamps.  Only a single sheet of 100 #C3a error stamps was sold.  A single Jenny Invert stamp has sold for $1 million!

                           

                                   

1840 PENNY BLACK

    

On May 6, 1840, the Penny Black – the world's first adhesive postage stamp – went on sale in Great Britain.  It's one of the most famous, desirable, and significant stamps of all time.  It changed history.

                              

SCOTT #5306 ART OF MAGIC FOREVER STAMPS

     At the 2018 Art of Magic First Day of Issue, the USPS surprised collectors with a souvenir sheet of three unreleased designs.  These stamps featured lenticular printing, making the white rabbit appear to pop in and out of the top hat.  This was the first time the US used lenticular printing on a postage stamp.  Because of this, several freaks and errors were later found of the souvenir sheet including imperfs, misperfs, and more.  

                                 

SCOTT #1371 MOON SURFACE AND EARTH

In 1969 Post Office issued a stamp that features the first photograph taken of Earth from deep space. It shows "Earthrise" over the lunar horizon.

                          

1331-32 ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN SPACE 5 CENT

     In 1967 the United States Post Office issued a 5 cent stamp to commemorate our accomplishments in space to date.

     The world's first reusable manned  space-craft, the United States' space shuttle, Columbia, was launched into space on April 12, 1981. Columbia's success changed space travel forever. Space shuttles are designed so that they may be used for multiple launches.

                                    

SCOTT #5132-35 STAR TREK FOREVER STAMPS

     With an intricate futuristic setting, multicultural cast, and story lines that touched on social issues, Star Trek pushed past the boundaries of popular science fiction and became a worldwide phenomenon.  Debuting on September 8, 1966, the prime-time television program's mission was "to boldly go where no man has gone before."

     Postmaster General John Potter stated The Art of Disney stamps "capture the spirit of friendship as it appears in the art, the imagination and the creative tradition of Walt Disney." The First Day of issue ceremony for the stamps was held at Disneyland, in Anaheim, California.
