On August 31, 1997, I was watching TV when a shocking news report broke – Princess Diana had been killed in a car accident
in Paris. Like millions of others around the world, I was stunned.
Her funeral was seen by millions on television, and her friend Elton
John performed “Candle in the Wind 1997.”
Governments around the
world issued stamps honoring her life and charitable acts. Princess
Diana stamps were snapped up by both collectors and non-collectors.

These
stamps rekindled my many memories of Princess Diana. |
