SCOTT #3384-88 EDWIN POWELL HUBBLE 33 CENT
The Hubble telescope is in orbit about 380 miles above the surface of the earth. This allows it to escape the effects of the atmosphere, which otherwise blur images. The Hubble can detect objects 50 times fainter than those observed on earth.
