A world-renowned actor, singer,and athlete, Paul Robeson (1898-1976) was a man ahead of his time. Whether performing spirituals and folk songs or interpreting Shakespeare's Othello, Robeson infused his life work with his principled stand against racism and his outspoken commitment to social justice.
