SCOTT #4823 THE MEDAL OF HONOR FOREVER STAMP
The Medal Of Honor, the nation's highest award for valor in combat, dates to 1861, when Abraham Lincoln signed the first bill authorizing the award into law. Today, the medal is presented for "conspicuous gallantry at the risk of life, above and beyond the call of duty".
