2003 AMERICAN FILM MAKING SET SCOTT #3772

The American Film Making Set marks the third appearance of actor Boris Karloff on a U.S. stamp. His first time was in 1977 on the souvenir sheet of Classic Movie Monsters. On that sheet, Mr. Karloff appeared twice, once as Frankenstein and again as the Mummy.. On this sheet, Mr. Karloff is being made up for his role as Frankenstein. click here

    Karloff, or course, played the Monster. The role of Frankenstein was played by Colin Clive.

    Of course, you are correct. Karloff played Frankenstein's monster. Through the years, the monster generally came to be called Frankenstein.
