SCOTT #3384-88 EDWIN POWELL HUBBLE 33 CENT

The Hubble telescope is in orbit about 380 miles above the surface of the earth. This allows it to escape the effects of the atmosphere, which otherwise would blur images. The Hubble can detect objects 50-times fainter than those observed from earth.
