SCOTT #4546 PIONEERS OF AMERICAN INDUSTRIAL DESIGN 44 CENT

American industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss said,"If people are made safer, more comfortable, more eager to purchase, more efficient, or just happier, the designer has succeeded." The Pioneers of Industrial Design sheet features house hold items that were successful in these areas.
In addition to the desk telephone, Dreyfuss invented the first upright Hoover vacuum and the Princess phone. Besides the streamlined pencil sharpener, Raymond Loewy, designed the interiors of Air Force One and NASA's Skylab.
